It’s already the first of October and definitely time to get dressed for Autumn. I’ve been wearing a jacket more or less all of September and lately also a hat. Mostly in the mornings when it’s extra cold walking to work.
I normally go for black when it comes to outerwear but this season I’ve actually opted for colours, although subtle but still. Here your go – the outfit I’m wearing this Autumn when leaving the house.
Blue Autumn Jacket
I wish I could say I am the owner to this jacket but sadly not. I am however very lucky to have a great friend lending it too me for this season, until it fits her perfectly again.
I love the colour, navy blue is starting to become a favourite of mine. All the details are perfect: buttons, pockets, the lining and I love that the hood is so big. Because I never really walk around with an umbrella, a hood on my outerwear is a must. As soon as the rain comes I freak out as my hair goes all frizzy and curly. It’s great as well that the jacket is adjustable at the waist, taking away the chunky feeling that it could otherwise get.
The prettiest detail is by far the floral print lining which gives the jacket a romantic look. Swedish brand, Rules by Mary, have designed the perfect jacket. I love it and so far everyone who’s seen it is giving me nice compliments.
White Woolly Hat
With the air being colder in the morning I am in need of wearing a hat to keep my head and ears warm. It also helps minimizing the frizzy hair as an early start means foggy and wet air.
I love this woolly hat because it’s quite big and that’s perfect for days when I have my hair up. Other hats can be quite tight and then it looks like you’ve got a hunch back on your head when you have your hair in a pony tail.
Anyway, I decided for a light colour as it gives a more romantic feeling (my theme for this autumn) and the furry ball on the top makes it even cuter. I think this hat matches really well with the jacket, especially the lining, and being white I’ll easily be able to match it with other outerwear too.
The jacket isn’t very thick but enough to last me into winter. The hat on the other hand I’ll be able to wear when it’s on zero degrees or colder as well.
