Weekly Update 46

It’s time for another weekly update. This week has been fairly quiet but still lots of things to highlight. The week started off with a party but after that it’s been fairly quiet as I’ve been focusing on training for the Abbey Dash. Still, it passed very quickly.

1. Bem Brasil celebrated turning 1 year old and what a great party it was. I loved the food but the highlight was definitely having my face painted with glitter and sparkles. I wish it was Glitter Tuesday every week. More about the birthday party next week!

2. It was time for the yearly Leeds Light Switch On. I didn’t go to the event but there’s plenty of time to enjoy the lights every night up till Christmas and while after too. My favourite decoration is the Christmas tree at the Leeds City Square. I really like the minimalistic decorations at this square and the tree looks magnificent with all the colourful lights.

3. Sweden took on Denmark in the first of two play off games in the Euro Qualifiers. I watched with my favourite Dane which made the whole game more interesting to watch. Dressed up in my Swedish tee and the Swedish flag wrapped around me I was confident we would win and we did! 2-1 though which means it can still go either way on Tuesday.

4. Finally the Abbey Dash took place and I was more than ready for it. My goal was to complete it in 65 minutes. Running 5 km twice a week for the last couple of month, in around 30 minutes, I strongly believed it was more than possible. I did it in 64 minutes, 7 minutes faster than last year. Woop, go me!

5-6. Highlight of the week was definitely having my profile picture painted in water colours. Talented Claire from Aloha Lola Cards offered to draw bloggers for free and so my blogger friend jump on the chance when she saw the Tweet. On recommendation, I was also lucky to receive a caricature of my portrait and I love it! I have never felt so cute and beautiful before. I love that she gave me big eyes (I think mine are far too small in real life). Tempted to have your picture painted? Check out Claire’s Etsy Shop here.

I can’t wait for next week, my best friend is coming to visit – eek! What have yo got planned?
