Weekly Update #21

Weekly Update #21

It’s bank holiday weekend so technically today is Saturday but I’m still doing my weekly update, as always on a Sunday. The past week has been long, I had the Friday/Saturday feeling on Thursday already so very thankful we’ve got a three day weekend. Here’s a few things I got up to this week.

Dining Out, enjoying fish

You know me, I like to feature food post on here and posting food pics on Instagram. Make sure to follow me here if you like food as much as I do. This week I went out for two meals, to two restaurants I’ve previously visited and love.

Fish meals

Gusto has the most amazing Italian inspired menu which makes it hard to decide what to get. I ordered the sea bass this time around, together with mashed potatoes and fresh pesto. It was delicious! I need to order lighter food like this more often. It was the dessert (mini doughnuts dipped in hot chocolate) which threw me over.

My Thai is probably one of the smallest restaurants there is in Leeds. You can’t book a table so going on pay day was risky but we got there at a timely hour and was seated immediately. Not only is the food here delicious (true authentic Thai street food) but it’s also very cheap. Startes like these fish cakes are only around £2-3.

Events

Mid-week, I went along to a charity event held at the Lighthouse Union Store in Cookridge. It’s definitely the most gorgeous charity shop I’ve ever been too. It also act like a café so do make sure to pay them a visit when you’re in the neighbourhood. More on what took place during the event in a later post.

Last week, I was supposed to have attended Benito Brow Bar’s opening evening in Debenhams but due to an accident, my bus was so late I missed it. Luckily, the staff at Benito is amazing and let me come in this weekend instead for a threading treatment. My first ever and I’m so pleased. More on the experience in a later post.

How’s your week been? What you been up to this bank holiday weekend?
