I haven’t been in many nights this week so not had time to look in to more things to do on my holiday, nor do research to buy a new camera in time for the two weeks away. Time is slipping away and I must admit I feel a bit stressed. Having said that, I wouldn’t trade time for the good nights I’ve had out. Time for my weekly update!
As you already know, my week started off really good with a pizza making class at Pizza Express. It’s a better way of enjoying a pizza out. Read more about it here.
Spring is here
I’ve managed to keep up with my running. Two runs this week, both within the top ten list of my fastest runs ever. I feel great for it and I know I can do even better.
It’s getting a lot warmer. I’ve stopped wearing gloves and hat when running home. The morning walks are still a bit cold but the sunshine is lovely, making great pictures! I braved it one day and wore my leather jacket for the first time this year. The fact I had to also wear a winter scarf to accompany it doesn’t bother me.
Two nights in a row, some of us girls at work met up afterwards to hang out. The first night at a friends for all the snacks in the world, prosecco and a game of Ring of Fire. I haven’t played in years and didn’t want to get too drunk on a school night, nor risk never wanting to enjoy a glass of prosecco again so I drank tonic water most of the game. It was a good laugh and the slutty brownies are to die for! I’m glad I don’t know the recipe as I’d easily eat myself to death.
The second night, we went for a all you can eat meal at Crown Buffet. I’m not a fan of all you can eat buffets, thinking of Red Hot Buffet and the likes but this one is different. For £14.99 you can pick all the dishes you want and they’re served to your table, fresh! I can really recommend this place if you love Chinese and can never decide just for one dish to enjoy.
On Saturday, I went with a friend to Poulton to celebrate one of her friends’ birthday. Poulton is a little picturesque place from what I saw of the Main Street. We celebrated at a Thai restaurant and I must have been hungry as I scraped both my starter and main plate. I normally ask for some food to be taken home but the dumplings where too good and so the chicken Thai red curry.
The week finished off with a meal at Nando’s. I haven’t been in ages, nor have I seen my former colleagues in a long while so it was a good catch-up and a nice end to the week. Since last time, Nando’s now offer chicken thighs so I opted for that. So good not having to faff around with chicken bones. I had peri-spiced fries and macho peas for my sides, as usual.
This week has been a lot more expensive than I would have liked. I need to save some more pennies for my holiday so the next two weeks will be more quiet and full of prep for the holiday.
What have you been up to this week?
