Weekly Update #12

I usually post my weekly update on Sundays but I was busy yesterday, eating Eating Easter brunch all day, so I thought I’d post today instead. Technically it’s Sunday today so I’m letting myself off the hook.

How’s your week been? I hope you’ve had a good Easter weekend with lovely food and of course, chocolate! Here’s what I’ve been up to lately.

Cocktail and steak

1-2. I spent Monday evening with my fellow Scandinavian! Before sipping gorgeous cocktails at Epernay we enjoyed a lovely two course meal at All Bar One. I’ve been to ABO before but it’s not the first place I think of when finding a place to eat. I should definitely re-think this. They have a two course meal offer on Sunday – Thursday for £10 which is a great offer. For an extra £5 you can upgrade to this steak! It’s so worth, promise.

Lipstick, rosé, g&t

3-5. The sun came out on Good Friday so I dressed up in a flowery top and the lovely lipstick I mentioned last week, matched really well. The sunshine called for drinks outside so we went to a beer garden and later I visited The Headrow House for the first time. I love gin and they’ve got several brands and different cocktails to choose from. I had Brockmans with blueberries and grapefruit.

6-7. It’s been Easter after all and chocolate is on the menu. I was lucky enough to get an Easter egg from my manager at work and I also bought some golden eggs myself. They’re deliciously good and disappear very quickly.

8. On Saturday two of my lovely colleagues launched their bakery business and I was obviously there to support. They had set up a stall at the Kirkstall Deli market in Kirkstall Abbey. I’ve never heard of the market before but I can really recommend it if you want to support local producers. The market is set up every last weekend of the month between March and November and my friends, Bloom Bakers, will be there on the Saturdays.

Off to eat another of these lovely biscuits! I hope you’re having a relaxing Easter Monday, getting ready for what’s only a four day work week.
