This week has been long, in a good way. I’ve been out on a few activities, mainly eating food. I love food and I love trying new restaurants and experience new tastes! One of the restaurants, Smoke Babecue, will get it’s own post in a couple of weeks so make sure to check back in for that.
1-3. On Wednesday, our company organised a meal after work at a Chinese restaurant, Maxi. It’s well hidden in Leeds, behind the casinos just outside of city centre. I’ve never been before and will most likely never come back. The food was lovely but the location probably won’t bring me back. The reason we had a meal was to celebrate that the company I work for has once again made it in to the Times Top 100 best small companies to work for. It’s lovely to be part of such a great company and 72nd place isn’t bad at all.
4-7. It was already time for last year’s hit – The Battle of the Burger. This year again, it was held in Canal Mills and I love that place. I should come up with a reason for an event that could be held here. Some of the burger vendors were the same as last year, but with different burgers, but also some new and a dessert addition as well, Doughnut Guy (4.). I loved Get Baked (5.) and Longhorns (6.). People, just like last year, raved about Fat Hippo (7.) and yes, they’re good but neither this year were they my favourite.
I’ve not had a chance to go running and I feel really bad. Actually, I’ve had chances but not taken them. Shame on me but next week I’ll be a lot better, starting fresh already tomorrow.
How’s your week been?
