And so it’s Sunday again. It’s been a slow weekend but I don’t mind too much. Next week is full of exciting plans so I’ve enjoyed resting over these two days. This is the time of the day when I reflect over what’s happened in the last week and you know what that means – my weekly update!
1. The week started with birthday celebrations for one of my good friends. His girlfriend had organised for us to play a live exit game. I have heard good things about these games but never actually taken part myself so I was really excited. We had an hour to solve the codes and clues in order to get ourselves out of the room we were locked into. We managed, with only 52 seconds left – phew!
2. I ran home three times this week. None of the times felt very good but still, I can feel I’m getting a lot better and more consistent. It won’t be long now until I’ll be able to run those 3 miles without a problem. I’m happy to say that running is starting to become a part of me and no longer just a mean of exercise or a chore in order to complete a professional run I sign up for. I feel really proud and good about myself. “She believed, she could, so she did!“
3-4. Along with running, I do want to make sure I eat healthy, but it’s hard. Attending Nourish Spring menu event sure inspired me. More on that in a separate post next week.
5. This weekend, I’ve been baking. First I made an Easter pannacotta using ‘Ahlgrens Bilar’, which I’ll share the recipe for on Tuesday. I also made a chocolate cake because I needed to use the chocolate and peanuts leftover from my Rocky Roads at Christmas time.
Some weeks are slower than others and at the minute I feel like I’m stuck in a boring routine but I also know it’ll change. It’s possibly just because I am saving money and can therefore not get up to much. At the same time, I know it’s worth it as I’ll have my fun later on.
How’s your week been? I hope you’ve been up to lots of fun things!
Jennie xx
