As you might remember, last month I announced that I am a Studio.co.uk ambassador. Every month I’ll be sharing my favourite products of theirs, linked to a specif theme. July’s theme is ‘The Great Outdoors’ which fit me perfectly. Is there a better way to spend time outdoors than when on holiday? Take a look through my Studio clothing lookbook, from my London city break to beach hang in Sweden. I’ve had two amazing weeks away!
Half the fun of going on holiday is packing. Perhaps not actually packing but to decide what to bring. Thanks to Studio I was able to bring along a lot of nice outfits, something for all the planned occasions: city break, road trip and beach hang. With new clothes packed, I found this trip extra enjoyable.
A massive thank you to my friends who who took photos of me in London and my mum who took all whilst in Sweden. Love you all for it!
City Break in London
I knew it was going to be warm in London. With the current
heatwave summer, I wanted something light but still street stylish. Knowing me, not much colour to make the city stand out, rather than myself.
I picked out this monochrome chequered shirt which I ordered in a big size to use as a dress instead. Normally shirts can be quite stiff and not fit well around the bust but this is super comfy. Soft fabric which shapes around your body. I paired it with super comfy suede impression sandals as all the walking in a big city takes it toll on ones feet. Of course they’re black, to match the dress but also the bag. I had to stretch them out a bit when they arrived so if you normally buy wide fit shoes, these might not be wide enough at the front of the feet.
I’d normally not bring a big bag when around lots of people but this is super practical as it fits a jacket for chillier evenings, water, camera and other essentials. There’s an attached pouch bag to it as well, to keep phone and other valuables a little bit hidden. I don’t like having valuables easily grabable in a big bag when walking around big cities like London. The pouch is removable to wear around your wrist if you need to travel light. Simply topped with a pair of colourful tassel earrings and the look is complete.
The jacket is made in a soft denim fabric which is perfect for summer evenings and light to carry around all day. It also comes with a fur collar which was impossible to bring along in this heat. Once autumn comes (hopefully not for a long time) I’ll add it back on to prolong the wear of the jacket.
Road Trip to Karlstad
When I travel back to Sweden, I always go to Kalmar as this is where my parents, older brother and best friends live. My other brother sadly lives 270 miles away in Karlstad so it’s not often I get to see him. This time, I had lots more days available so my mum and I took the 7 hour journey there and back. It was great to see him and his family! They have a gorgeous house next to the river for refreshing sweet water swims.
Driving this far means I have to be comfortable. I picked out a leopard print summer dress with a loose fit and without sleeves. Anything to make the hot and long journey bearable. It comes as a pack of two, the twin in plain pink. The leopard print matches well with the turquoise tassel earrings and again I wore the comfy black sandals. There’s nothing worse than driving in shoes that don’t fit well.
Beach Hang in Kalmar
The best bit of Swedish summer are the beach hangs. I miss Swedish beaches SO much! If I could bring one back to Leeds, I would! I’ve taken advantage this holiday to go swimming as much as possible. It’s so nice being able to jump on the bike and cycle down for refreshing swims and lots of tanning. Not all beaches are within cycling distance but it’s beautiful when they are.
Because it’s so warm, cycling in a swimsuit is a must but it can be uncomfortable on the saddle so these denim shorts came in handy. They’re a soft and stretchy denim material so easy to move around in. Slightly bigger fit so a belt is in need. The coral sandals are my favourite shoes from Studio; I’ve been wearing them a lot since I received them. They’re perfect for the beach; super easy and hassle free to slip in and out of.
The swimsuit and beach hat is what makes the outfit though. I feel very glam wearing both of them. You know me and monochrome are my go to colours. I was brave enough to choose this swimsuit with a patterned bust and quite low cut too. The beach hat is massive which is great to shield my eyes from the sun without having to wear sunglasses.
I love that all the Studio clothing I ordered fit me. I normally have troubles ordering online, especially if I haven’t worn any of the brand’s clothes beforehand. I’m very pleased with the quality of the clothes from Studio.co.uk. Don’t underestimate them, they’re so much better than I could possibly imagine.
What have you been wearing this summer and during your holidays? If you’ve not been yet, what are you planning to bring?
