    Where to Eat in Dublin

I don’t think Dublin is known for its food culture so I didn’t have any specific dishes I wanted to try prior to going. I was pleasantly surprised to learn they eat a lot of seafood, which I love. Thinking about it now, it makes perfect sense as it’s a seaside city. Here’s my favourite eats from Dublin. Crabby Jo’s Again, I can’t recommend going to Howth enough if you’re ever in Dublin. If you like the seaside and seafood this is the perfect spot. Along the harbour all the fisherman’s restaurants are lined up. Unfortunately, VERY pricey but what can you expect when it’s fresh fish? As much as…

    5 Musts When Visiting Dublin

A week ago, I went to meet up with my mum in Dublin for three full days of exploring. The first day was quite dull and it rained a lot but we still had a nice time. The following two days were gorgeous with the sun being out most of the time which made for more outdoor exploring and seaside adventures. After spending a couple of days in Dublin I’m not an expert but here are my five musts if you ever go. Explore Howth The highlight of our Dublin visit was venturing out to Howth, a small fishing village half an hour or so outside of the city. There…

    Sternschanze in Hamburg

The last post on Hamburg, for this time. Hamburg is made up of many smaller areas and all of them have their own charm but it was Sternschanze that I particularly liked slightly more. I haven’t seen all the other areas but spending time here I thought it was really cool. It’s a chilled area (minus the G20 protest we got caught in) with lots of fun shops and bars to enjoy. During our visit, it was evident that this area of Hamburg is really against the G20. Everywhere we looked, shop notes, graffiti arts and other signs were telling us how unwelcome the G20 is. One of the buildings…

What and Where to Eat in Hamburg

It’s time for another Hamburg post. After covering where to stay and what to see, I thought it’s high time for a food post. I feature food a lot on this blog anyways and let’s face it, don’t we all love food a little bit more when on holiday? čÖé During mine and S stay in Hamburg we covered all the food times at least once: breakfast, lunch, dinner and a late night snack so this post should give you ideas for a full day on where and what to eat in Hamburg. Breakfast at Nord Coast Coffee Roastery Nord Coast is located on the canal near the Speicherstadt area.…

    Free Sightseeing Spots in Hamburg

As you know from my last post, I only spent two nights in Hamburg so I definitely have more sightseeing to do next time I go. Despite a short visit, we managed to tick off quite a lot of things on the list of sightseeing I wanted to see. The best bit, they’re all free! Elbphilharmonie Opera House On the afternoon we arrived, we first made our way down to the harbour and the Opera House – Elbphilharmonie. I can’t say I particularly like the architecture of this building, I┬áthink it’s the shape that bothers me.┬áThe contrast between different materials and styles in buildings have always fascinated me but somehow…
