An Activity Packed Paris Weekend Break

Paris! When I was younger I didn’t have any interest in going to the French capital but as I’ve matured, the city of romance, fashion and culture has intrigued me and I can finally say that I’ve been. When a work colleague decided to move back to Paris, Charlotte and I said we’d soon go visit. It could have been one of those things you just say but we actually made it happen. Flights from Leeds run daily and we found, many thanks to Jet 2*, the perfect Paris weekend break. We flew out on Thursday afternoon from Leeds and came back from Paris Sunday afternoon, with enough time to…

  • What to do in Amsterdam

    Doing Amsterdam in Six Hours

You know you’re in Amsterdam when the first thing you see are picturesque canal views and randomly walk past inappropriate window displays. I love this city! Mainly for the architecture, such pretty buildin, but also because of all the canals. Cities with lots of water are the best! The whole laid back culture and trendy fashion scene also bring loads of character. As you know from my previous post, I went on a mini cruise to Amsterdam with P&O Ferries and Bonkers Bingo. We only had six hours in total to explore this wonderful city. We managed to fit in a lot to be honest so it was a well…

Bonkers Bingo Mini Cruise with P&O Ferries

The weekend just gone was so much fun! I got to spend it with some of my fave bloggers friends Charlotte, Tina and Gina. We  went on an overnight ferry trip to Amsterdam, and experienced the most bonkers bingo playing both there and back. It’s safe to say that Bonkers Bingo live up to their name! I’ve never been on an overnight ferry trip before, only short trips between Sweden and Denmark and Denmark and Germany. Ooh and I slept on deck on a ferry trip between the New Zealand islands years and years ago. Safe to say none of my previous experiences prepared me for what P&O Ferries and…

  • 2017 Goals in Review

Did I Achieve the Goals I Set Myself in 2017?

It’s a new year and what would a blog be without a look back at last year’s goals and how I did. I only had five things I wanted to achieve throughout 2017 and I’m happy to say I did myself proud. To answer the title question, yes I did! Apply for UK Citizenship I spent most of the year working on this application. First I had to apply for a permanent residence, then take a Life in the UK test, followed by an English lever 3 test to finally be able to fill in the application and send it in. I’m still waiting for the verdict, I’m hoping I’ll…

  • Jet2 Christmas Event

    Influencer Christmas Dinner with Jet2

One of the highlights this month was going to Jet2’s Christmas Dinner event. Actually, it was the last day of November but for me it marked the first of many Christmas celebrations. They’d picked a fab day for it as it was  snowing outside. Not that it stayed but still, it gave that extra Christmas feeling. Jet2 had booked out a room at The Tetley in Leeds to host the event for nine Leeds based bloggers. I’ve only been to The Tetley a couple of times but never upstairs so I was surprised to find this gorgeous room with one of the biggest dining tables I have ever seen. The…
