    The Neighbourhood in Leeds

Th outdoor seating area doesn’t do The Neighbourhood any favours. It’s not until you reach the entrance and its heavy door (don’t stumble on yourself opening it like I almost did) you know you’re in for something different. The entrance wall is fully decorated with plants and flowers. Even though they’re fake, it’s still a very impressive wall. The rest of the restaurant follow suit: an urban tropical theme filled with neon lights, graffiti walls, bauble lights and playful green chairs. The light isn’t the best for taking stunning photos but still you can’t resist because everything’s so photogenic. Whilst waiting for my lovely dates for the evening, I treated…

Issho – Leeds Latest Rooftop Bar and Restaurant

More and more rooftop bars are opening up in Leeds. It’s such a clever business idea making use of space and letting people enjoying something they can’t get everywhere. The latest rooftop bar to open up is Issho, located on the third floor in Victoria Gate. Issho is a Japanese bar and restaurant bringing big time competition to the likes of Little Tokyo and Yo Sushi! I love Yo Sushi! but the classyness and food options Issho has to offer quickly exceeds this funky sushi place. I was lucky to be invited to try out Issho’s menu a couple of days before the grand opening and I was thrilled trying something from…

7 Additions to Yo Sushi’s Summer Menu

My dream came true, I got invited to Yo Sushi to a taster evening of their new summer menu! I love Yo Sushi!!! Recently I haven’t been as often as I really miss going every two month for Blue Monday with my Danish friend. Those were the best catch-up dates we had but now she’s too far away. She would have loved this tasting event as much as I did. Yo Sushi is incorporating more Japanese street food dishes on their menu, to make it more appealing to people who might not necessarily like fish and more so, raw fish. Out of the seven new dishes we tried, I’d say only…

    Weekly Update #20

Happy Sunday everyone! For some reason, I’ve got that Friday feeling. I wish it was Friday, or at least that I had tomorrow off. I have a feeling it’s because the weather has been nice today, that I had a productive morning before heading out to have lunch with a friend and attending the Benefit brow event. It’s been a good day all round but let’s wind back and take it from the beginning of the week. It’s time for the weekly update 🙂 Turns out I haven’t done much this week. I’m flat hunting so all lunch hours are spent browsing the internet and trying to book in viewings.…

    Weekly Update #19

The weekly updates are back! So sorry for the break but I wasn’t going to post whilst on holiday and last week, I had too many other things to catch up on. How you’ve been? I’ve had a great first week coming back from holiday so it’s not been too hard returning. The lovely weather last weekend and with it being Eurovision week (my favourite of all year), has softened the blow. Japanese Food I’ve mentioned it before, I regularly try and go to Yo Sushi with my dear colleague and we always make sure it’s on a Monday to take advantage of their Blue Monday offer. We had a…
