• Slug & Lettuce Tipsy Afternoon Tea

Tipsy Afternoon Tea at Slug & Lettuce

With International Tea Day being celebrated this weekend, Slug & Lettuce invited me to try out one of their afternoon tea options. Their new venue in Leeds is definitely worth a visit. They have recently taken over where Yates used to be on Boar Lane and the transformation is incredible. I never set my foot in Yates but I doubt it ever looked as classy, pretty and tasteful as Slug & Lettuce. It’s quite different to their location at Park Row, more hip is the best word to describe it. It’s a vibrant place with lots of fun decor in a monochrome and pinkish colour scheme. Their birdcage booths are adorable,…

5 Course Tasting Menu at Prashad Bradford

Prashad Restaurant is located between Leeds and Bradford, in an area called Drighlinton. I’ve heard of it many times being on Gordon Ramsay’s Best British Kitchen, but not owning a car, it’s not the easiest restaurant to get to from Leeds. Their sister restaurant however is. You might have heard of Bundobust, and hopefully also visited. It’s one of my favorite restaurants in Leeds. Just like Bundobust, Prashad’s menu is fully vegetarian. I could never bee a vegetarian or vegan, I love meat too much, but I love vegetarian food as well and when cooked like at Prashad, I don’t mind there not being any meat available. Indulge in Summer Cocktails and Italian Food | Gusto Cookridge Summer Menu

It’s not just the weather, our wardrobes and mood that change over the summer, restaurants too update their food and drinks menu to match the season. When it’s hot I don’t have the same hunger as in colder months but you’ve got to eat. Fresh and light meals are my got to. Cocktails on the other hand, they’re delicious any time of the year and the ones Gusto Cookridge have on their menu are very tasty. A couple of week’s ago, a small group of bloggers (myself included) and plus ones went to Gusto in Cookridge for a cocktail masterclass followed by a 3-course meal from their summer menu with…

  • The Potting Shed Guiseley

    The Potting Shed in Guiseley

I have never been to Guiseley before and it wasn’t until I went to The Potting Shed that I realised it’s so close to Leeds. Only a ten minute train journey for a £5 return ticket. Why have I not been before? I’d happily come back on a warm sunny day and spend time at The Potting Shed. Three reasons why: Jungle decoration, moorish food and fruity cocktails. Jungle Decoration As you can see the top floor is fully decorated like a jungle. There are fake flowers and plants everywhere, even on the walls and hanging down from the ceiling. Wallpapers with botanical design and furniture in mismatching patterns. I…

  • Fire Lake Restaurant radisson Blu

Fire Lake Restaurant at Radisson Blu in Leeds

I have mentioned Fire Lake restaurant in a previous post here, when I went restaurant hopping in The Light. I’m sure I also mentioned that it’s a hotel restaurant, belonging to Radisson Blu. Now, the thought of going to a hotel restaurant for a meal might put you off but I’m hoping this post will change that. More and more hotels, at least in Leeds, are stepping up their restaurant game. Soap Factory for example doesn’t send that hotel vibe, neither does @LS1 which I’ll feature in a post next week and from what I’ve seen in pictures, Dakota’s restaurant and food looks amazing! This also applies to Radisson Blu’s…
