Learning How to Make Burritos with Bar Burrito

I love food but if I had to pick a cuisine I was only allowed to eat for the rest of my life I’d say Mexican. So many fresh and strong flavours. How can you say no to avocado, or freshly made salsa with pineapples? When Charlotte kindly invited me as her plus 1 to Bar Burrito for a workshop learning how to make our own burritos, I couldn’t possibly say no. I’ve always wanted to find out the secret behind folding fully loaded tortilla bread into snug burritos. Bar Burrito Menu Bar Burrito is my favourite Mexican place in Leeds. Their menu is very extensive: giving everyone plenty of…

    Summer Socials at Cielo Blanco

Trying to find that summer holiday feeling? Summer Socials at Cielo Blanco is where it’s at! Who needs a beach holiday when this rooftop bar serves tequila based cocktails in fresh coconuts? Two year’s ago (feels like yesterday), Cielo Blanco was all about the tropical margaritas but this year they’re keeping their cocktails simple and to the point. The extravaganza is in the presentation and I must say it makes such a massive difference. I’m more likely to enjoy a cocktail which also looks good, fun or out of the ordinary. When they’re paired with delicious food complimenting the flavours – even better! Soda Can Paloma x Ceviche Tostada This…

Situated in St John’s Centre they’re in the fast food district with McDonalds next door and KFC opposite the street. I’ve only been to Taco Bell once before, a life time ago in the US, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. Guaranteed, they have a lot more to offer on their menu since then and another difference is that in the UK, you can see the food being prepared. I think this is a nice touch, making it less fast foody and more healthy looking. But let’s be honest, it’s still…

Big Star | Mexican Restaurant in Chicago

When I go travelling, I love exploring new foods. It doesn’t have to be new foods, I love trying foods I’ve had before but on holiday, it somehow tastes differently. Before I went to Chicago, I had looked up some restaurants to go to and many, including Lonely Planet, recommended Big Star so I obviously had to go as Mexican foods is one of the best! Big Star doesn’t look much from the outside. They’re outside area reminds me more of belonging to a fast food chain but I imagine it to be packed with people on a hot summer’s day and lovely at night time when the lights are…
