    Spring Wishlist

Happy Tuesday! Do you feel like spring is taking forever showing its face? I do! The snow that came out of nowhere the last couple of weeks was so pretty but the havoc it causes and the timing of it did not suit me. On Sunday, I cleaned my flat and even spring cleaned the fridge. All this whilst having the balcony door wide open. The sun was shining in and fresh spring air came through. As it starts to get warmer and giving spring hints, I start thinking what new things I can get. Turns out, there’s quite a lot of things on my spring wishlist. 1. Chinos I…

Belledorm Bedding | Luxury Living with Rooi

Every time I stay in a hotel (not as often as I’d like) I always think I should invest in white bedding like they have. Never has it happened, until Rooi got in touch and asked if I’d like to try their Belledorm bedding. I thought, this is my chance to invest in a really nice, comfortable and long lasting bed set which I’ll hopefully sleep as well in as I do during hotel stays. It arrived last week and as soon as I opened the packages I couldn’t wait to go to bed. This might sounds silly but it was like magic putting on this bedding, the duvet and…

Soap Factory | Upping the Hotel Bar Game

Have you ever been to a hotel bar? Did it give a positive lasting impression? I know I have been but I can’t really remember them. Why would you attend an hotel bar unless staying at the hotel? Even then, there will be more fun bars to explore when visiting a new place. Soap Factory in Leeds is here to change that. The bar is part of Novotel, located at Wellington Place (near the train station) but it doesn’t look anything like a hotel bar. At the soft launch evening, soap bubbles were flying about outside the entrance and it looked like so much fun and inviting to go in.…

HomeSense Brings Interior Inspiration to Leeds

I’ve always found interior and home inspiration shops have been lacking in Leeds. Ikea has always been my point of call but over the last year, stores like Oliver Bonas, Zara Home and Anthropology all noticed a gap in the market and opened up. And finally this year a bigger and more price friendly home interior focused store has come to Leeds city centre – HomeSense. If you haven’t spotted HomseSense yet, it has taken over Clas Ohlson’s old space on Headrow but it wasn’t until this visit that I realised how big the store is. It’s a home decor lovers dream, a fun park for interior lovers. They have two floors filled…

Turning Fruit Crates into a Bookcase

Last weekend, I took on a big interior project. I’ve been wanting a bookcase for a long time but not seen any out there which I like. Besides, I can’t have the flat full of IKEA furniture, no matter how much I love them. I had a little look around the internet and also noticed that in a lot of stores they make use of fruit crates to store products. On eBay, I found a seller who could ship me eight crates for £48 with free delivery. That’s the best deal I’ve come across and far cheaper than a ready made book case. Some of the fruit cases turned up…
