An Activity Packed Paris Weekend Break

Paris! When I was younger I didn’t have any interest in going to the French capital but as I’ve matured, the city of romance, fashion and culture has intrigued me and I can finally say that I’ve been. When a work colleague decided to move back to Paris, Charlotte and I said we’d soon go visit. It could have been one of those things you just say but we actually made it happen. Flights from Leeds run daily and we found, many thanks to Jet 2*, the perfect Paris weekend break. We flew out on Thursday afternoon from Leeds and came back from Paris Sunday afternoon, with enough time to…

  • Jet2 Christmas Event

    Influencer Christmas Dinner with Jet2

One of the highlights this month was going to Jet2’s Christmas Dinner event. Actually, it was the last day of November but for me it marked the first of many Christmas celebrations. They’d picked a fab day for it as it was  snowing outside. Not that it stayed but still, it gave that extra Christmas feeling. Jet2 had booked out a room at The Tetley in Leeds to host the event for nine Leeds based bloggers. I’ve only been to The Tetley a couple of times but never upstairs so I was surprised to find this gorgeous room with one of the biggest dining tables I have ever seen. The…

  • Sternschanze Hamburg

    Sternschanze in Hamburg

The last post on Hamburg, for this time. Hamburg is made up of many smaller areas and all of them have their own charm but it was Sternschanze that I particularly liked slightly more. I haven’t seen all the other areas but spending time here I thought it was really cool. It’s a chilled area (minus the G20 protest we got caught in) with lots of fun shops and bars to enjoy. During our visit, it was evident that this area of Hamburg is really against the G20. Everywhere we looked, shop notes, graffiti arts and other signs were telling us how unwelcome the G20 is. One of the buildings…

  • Kalmar Postcards

    Postcards from Kalmar, Sweden

Late January I went for a week long visit to Sweden. I go every year and this time around, I truly appreciated the rest I got. I really needed it and it was nice not having to stress around meeting lots of people, only the ones that matter the most. On two occasions I also had some time to take lovely pictures of Kalmar and its nice surroundings which I wanted to share with you in this post. I was hoping for loads of snow but all that was left was a bit of ice in some places. If you follow me on Instagram, you will have seen some of these…

Travel Hacks | 3 Tips on How to Avoid Spending Unnecessary Money

As I mentioned in my post about goals for 2017, I’d like to see more of Europe. Tomorrow I’m flying off to my first destination of the year – Sweden. I’ve seen it so many times before but I’m still excited to go back to see my friends and family and perhaps a bit of snow if I’m lucky. Every time I go there, or anywhere else for that matter, I’m really thankful for the following three travel hacks. They have all helped me save on unnecessary spendings when travelling and here how you can too. Halifax Clarity Credit Card I used to have a Swedish bank account but since I…
