Classic Gin Cocktails with Portobello Road Gin

Gin is my go to spirit. Even more so when I learnt it’s the best if you’re wanting to keep your calorie intake on the low. A gin and slimline tonic is around 60 calories, compared to a pint of beer which is around 200. I have yet to decide which my favourite gin brand is, there are too many fighting for the top position, but I know a good brand when I see it. Ever heard of Portobello Road Gin? Of course you have but perhaps you’ve not been acquainted with some of the classic cocktails you can make with it. I was invited to a gin masterclass with…

Indulge in Summer Cocktails and Italian Food | Gusto Cookridge Summer Menu

It’s not just the weather, our wardrobes and mood that change over the summer, restaurants too update their food and drinks menu to match the season. Now, the thought of going to a hotel restaurant for a meal might put you off but I’m hoping this post will change that. More and more hotels, at least in Leeds, are stepping up their restaurant game. Soap Factory for example doesn’t send that hotel vibe, neither does @LS1 which I’ll feature in a post next week and from what I’ve seen in pictures, Dakota’s restaurant and food looks amazing! This also applies to Radisson Blu’s…

I love gin so I don’t think I could have asked for a better weekend! I’m so happy to share all the recipes for these five wonderful gin cocktails with you. It’s “gin o’clock”. Slingsby Gin Cocktails Slingsby is a Yorkshire company, Harrogate based in fact. I’ve seen the bottle around before but never actually tasted any of their gins so I was really excited for this event. I absolutely loved the structure of the event and the tastings; a three course canapes…
