• Jannuary to March Book Reads

Books I Read in January to March

One of my goals this year is to read one book a month. I’m happy to say that so far, I’m on track. The three books I’ve read so far this year are a mix between science fiction, biography and fiction based on a true story. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed reading all of them so thought I’d share in case you’d be interested in giving them a read yourself. Here are my January to March book reads. The Tattooist of Auschwitz – Heather Morris Last year I saw so many people who I follow on social media shout about this book. I’m a sucker for marketing so this book had me…

Books I’ve read October to December

I’ve had a blogging break over Christmas and New Year’s but now I’m back! The two weeks off did me real good and I had time to get lost in books rather than social media and blog reading. One of my goals in 2017 was to read one book a month, 12 books in total. And I have! The last three were easy reads and I’m very happy about that because I saved them all till the last two weeks of the year. For some reason I can’t remember now, I wasn’t into reading in October and November. The other nine books I read in 2017 I wrote about, here,…

Books I’ve Read July to September

Lately, I’ve started to buy books that have been transferred in to film or TV and this time, it’s no different. I find that if they’ve been chosen to be on screen, the stories and characters must be really interesting. For most of the time, the screen version is never as good. I’ve yet to watch The Handmaid’s Tale so I can’t yet say if it is better, the same or different to the book. I will let you know when I finally get around to watching it. For now, here are my July to September reads. Everything, Everything – Nicola Yoon A teenage book but I’ve once been a…

Books I’ve Read April to June

Another three months gone and three more books I’ve read this year. The books in the second quarter improved majorly from the first three books I read. I shared a picture of them at Easter and most of my Instagram followers knew something positive to say about all of them so I got excited. Also, two of them have been interpreted on screen as well which is always a good sign. A post shared by Jennie (@lifestyledbyj) on Apr 16, 2017 at 2:25am PDT Here’s the books I’ve read between April to June. Me Before You – JoJo Moyes If you don’t like sad stories, don’t read this book. It’s…

Books I’ve Read January to March

March is already over. I thought time was going quick when we’d managed to get through January but now it’s getting a bit scary how fast this year is going. Sadly, my reading pace isn’t at all as fast as time goes by. I was hoping to have finished reading these three books in January but it’s taken me three months. I’m still on track for reaching 12 books at the end of my year goal so not too upset with myself. Anyways, here are my thoughts on the books I’ve read so far. A Good and Happy Child – Justin Evans This is a book I most likely wouldn’t…
