Christmas Gift Ideas for the Minimalist

11th November 2016 Leave a Comment

It’s time for another Christmas gift ideas post. This time, ideas for those who like the little things. Personally, I think it’s great fun to open up lots of small presents rather than one big gift. Unless that bigger gift is full of smaller, themed goodies inside. Last month, I went to two events introducing me to two new brands and plenty of Christmas ideas for the minimalists.

Tili

TILI (Thanks, I Love It) is a new company that’s recently started up, online. I was kindly invited to their launch party at the Lazy Lounge, not far from where I live. It was a really nice event getting to know the ladies behind the brand, the concept and to see up close what they’re offering.

Tili Gifts

When Danielle and Sarah ended up living in different cities, they struggled to send gifts to each other and so came up with the TILI concept. Instead of spending time in several shops or online, they’ve created one place for the perfect themed gift box sets. They’ve just got started but have already managed to team up with great established UK brands so I reckon they’re a growing company to look out for. I really like TILI’s idea, it’s the perfect box set full of goodies you know the minimalists will love and maybe also those who you’re not too sure of what to get them.

Tili Gift Boxes

With more themes to come, TILI offer something for the ‘gin lover’ (£36), the ‘sweet tooth’ (£24.50) and the ‘beauty lover’ (£29.50). I really like this concept as most of my friends live overseas so it would be easy having all the gifts in one place and I don’t have to put it together myself.

Smiggle

Who here doesn’t love stationary? It was one of the few things I first started buying when I was allowed to go shopping with out parental supervision. Every time I was allowed to go in to city centre with my friends and without adult company, I always came home with something from the stationary shop. I still love all these things and I know so many others do to, I don’t think we’ll ever grow out of it.

Smiggle Stationary

Smiggle (Smile + Giggle) has for sure nailed everything that has to do with stationary. I absolutely love all the colourful products they have, not to talk about that most of them are scented too. The paint set (£7) is one of my favourite products, so cute they have all been assigned a different fruit and it’s scent. If that’s not bringing colouring in to a whole new level I don’t know what.

I fell in love with the pencil cases (£10-13) they have in every colour possible and I was so happy to receive one in my generous goody bag at their Christmas Party event in their Leeds store. They had loads more pencil cases in different shapes and forms – crocodile, milk cartons etc. but it was the squared ones that caught my eye the most. Times has changed from when I had a homemade pencil case in denim, the tin case or the small leather cylinder case. The pop out cases has not been forgotten though, still around and proved to be a favourite amongst kids attending the event.

Smiggle products

I was surprised to see so many technical products as well, but in the end it made perfect sense as many of them can be personalised which is great. Anything from headphones (£20) to lamps (£20). They have lots of watches too, in different size, designs and colours. My favourite by far is this multicoloured watch (£16.50), so fab and it’s even cooler when it lights up.

Which one of these products is your favourite? Do you prefer colourful stationary or gift boxes full of goodies? If you missed my previous Christmas gift ideas post for the beauty lovers, check it out here.
