Everytime I come to visit family and friends in Sweden, I HAVE to visit the shops England doesn’t have. I think I’ve done well, acclimatised myself with English shops that Sweden doesn’t have (Primark, River Island, Boots etc.) but I must admit that H&M for clothes and IKEA for home decorations are my first to go places, as they’re Swedish. There’s just something about Swedish fashion and design, I can’t help but to love it!
Anyhow, when I visited Sweden for a week I wanted to check out what some of the shops had to offer in their sales (I had to keep it cheap in January) and I ended up doing a good sales haul, which I wanted to share with you because I’m so happy and pleased with the purchases.
Aima – Fashion
Aima is a clothing store which sells well known brands such as Desigual, Only, Cheap Monday, Odd Molly and Vero Moda. They had loads of sale left bus Desigual is no point glancing at as on sale, it’s still well over my budget. The other brands are lower price to begin with so with a half price sale, I walked away with a jumper from Only and a t-shirt from Cheap Monday.
The grey jumper is so nice and soft, fairly thin but warm enough. I like the thick cobble knitting and the best part, which makes it stand out; the buttoned detail on the back.

It’s not often I wear t-shirts, I prefer short sleeved tops of a more sturdy or silky fabric, but this had a too cool print to turn down – a skull! I love skulls and oversized t-shirts are the best.

Gina Tricot – Fashion
Gina Tricot is another great fashion retailer, I have mentioned them in several previous posts here on the blog. They have an English website and I hope, also soon English physical stores. Sadly, they didn’t have any clothes in the sale that I found interesting, but more so loads of jewellery. I’ve been looking for a plain silver ring for ages, and here I got three very cheap. I also found a similar gold ring so hopefully from now on I’ll be more fun wearing jewellery daily.

Lagerhaus – Interiors
Sweden has a lot of smaller interior shops, selling all kinds of home decorations. This is something I miss in England, or at least in Leeds. I can’t think of a single shop that solely sells interior and home decorations. Swedish Lagerhaus is a good example of what I miss in England. I saw loads of nice things I’d like to buy for my future own place but only picked up these nice pillow cases.

Which are your first to go shops for fashion and interiors? Did you do a sales haul in January?
