Smile! I am a very happy person in general so smiling is inevitable for me. I am however reluctant to show my teeth in pictures of myself. I don’t like my teeth as despite not smoking or drinking tea and coffee, they’re yellow and stained. I have no idea how this has happened. I brush them twice a day (it has happened that I forget but that’s max one day a month) and floss regularly.
CB12 White Teeth
I’ve tried using whitening toothpaste but they taste horrible and I’ve also tried topping the original toothpaste with salt a couple of times every month but nothing seem to help. I haven’t given up so when I was sent CB12 White* to try I had to give it a go. It’s meant to help improve the whitening of your teeth and get rid of stains. It also promises better and fresh breath for 12 hours straight, already after two weeks of daily use.
I’ve only tried a couple of mouthwashes before but right away by looking at this bottle, I knew CB12 White would be different. It looks so nice and fresh, just like how my mouth and teeth should be. I was very happy to give it a go. It’s adviced to use 1-2 times on a daily basis. Because I’ve heard negative things about mouthwash and how harmful it can be to your teeth and health, I decided to only use this once a day, in the mornings after brushing my teeth. I don’t know if there’s any truth to what’s been said about mouthwash and the harmful effects, they could all be myths but using this once a day has worked out being enough for me.
I have been using this mouthwash for a couple of weeks now and taken pictures on the first day, after a week and after two weeks. Can you see a difference? I’m not sure I can but it’s difficult to tell from the pictures as I can’t take proper close ups and the light in autumn time isn’t the best either. What I do know though is that I feel a lot more comfortable regarding my breath. I don’t think it was bad before (no one has ever said and I hope friends around me would be comfortable enough to) but it’s a lot nicer now and I feel my tongue has a better colour too.
Sugar Plum Fairy Lips
To help make my mouth more attractive, I also invested in a lip scrub. I’ve never thought of my lips as dry, at least I enter have any flaky dry skin or irritation. During the colder months my lips do tend to naturally go a bit more dry, especially in the morning so I wanted to see if a scrub would help.
I’ve heard good things about Lush’s lip scrubs. Not sure I’ve heard anyone else doing them, although I’m sure they’re about. They had a few flavours to choose from but either too sweet or sickly for me but luckily Sugar Plum Fairy was perfect. I really like the smell, it reminds me a lot of the Frosted Plum body scrub and body butter I got last year from The Body Shop – love it!
I’ve only tried this scrub once and it’s a positive verdict. It’s so easy to apply and you hardly need much which makes it a long lasting investment. By rubbing it on your lips it dissolves and the rest you can lick off but I decided not to, ha. Within a minute, my lips had gone from not so dry to very moist. They did feel a bit tingly and swollen straight after but it soon faded. Applying lipgloss on the lips afterwards was easy and looked fab. Next time I’ll be using it before applying lipstick and it should hopefully look really nice.
Have you got any tips for making my teeth whiter? Have you tried any of Lush’s lips scrubs yet?
