Skinny Dip Flamingo Bag

I believe I found my fashion style ages ago but it isn’t until now that I feel confident enough to wear it with pride. Prior to now I feel like I’ve been in the wrong body to wear exactly what I want. I could have adapted and bought clothes to more suit my body shape but instead, I changed my body. Perhaps that’s sad but not when the end result is me feeling 100% better and more confident. Don’t get me wrong, the style I have I see on many others in all different shapes and forms and they own it. Sadly I didn’t feel like I did, until now. Now I feel as cool as I think the clothes look.

I can finally wear tops tucked into high waisted trousers and jeans without feeling like a stuffed sausage. I can finally wear short sleeved tops and cami tops without being ashamed of my arms. I can finally wear low cut tops to show more cleavage without my boobs being up people’s faces.

Since loosing weight, I haven’t gone out and bought a whole new wardrobe as a lot of my clothes still fit in size but look better on my “new” body. My mum was kind to take in three pieces of clothes when I was in Sweden last week. Two pair of trousers and a skirt which I love and don’t want to have to get rid of. But as treats for doing so well in the gym and kitchen, I’ve invested in some new clothes to match my style and body shape.

It’s been a long time since I bought new jeans but when I saw these I couldn’t resist. I love the washed 80’s feel and the fact they’re high waisted. I’m still getting used to having a smaller waist so at first I grabbed a bigger size but it turns out 29” fit me best. I was absolutely gobsmacked as not long ago I was 32-34”. Here paired with a sexy yet romantic lace top and a pair of black heels. They’re the perfect size heel for me, for now. I’d like to learn to walk in higher if it’s not too late.

Low Cut Top Outfit

Another 80’s style outfit is this leopard skirt with a low cut body and statement pink earrings. For my birthday, Jo got me this wonderful flamingo bag to match the outfit perfectly. How fab is this Skinny Dip bag? My favourite piece is the body as it fits so nicely without being too revealing. I’m happy to still have a fairly large bust but I do feel relieved it’s not as in your face anymore.

Velvet Cami Top Outfit

When I was younger, I hated wearing skirts. I was always wearing jeans but towards the end of my teens it changed and now I absolutely love them. I’ve owned this little black skirt for many years but it isn’t until now it sits really well around my waist and over my bum. I’ve paired it with a new velvet cami top (sale find) which I’m happy I got in this colour. They also sold them in black which I looked at first (of course) but I think I should incorporate more colour where possible. Besides, it’s a dark green colour so not too far away from black. The coat is also a sale find but it won’t come out again until spring/summer time when it’s warm enough to wear it.

What do you think to my style? What do you like wearing? Do you dress for your body shape or pick anything you like not worrying about how it fits?
