As you know I’ve been gagging to go to a UK wedding for ages and now that’s it’s finally happening I’ve also been fortunate? to experience my first hen party as well. Obviously what happens at a hen party stays at the hen party but I can show some bits of it.
There were 12 girls in total, including the bride, and most of them had been to play laser quest earlier in the day. Due to my eventful wine tasting event the night before I decided to skip this bit. I met up with the girls at a later hour for some pre drinks and fun and games before heading out in the night.
We all got a sachet each saying “hen part” and although you see so many of these groups every weekend it’s not until you’re party of one that they’re absolutely everywhere. There were at least one more group of hens at every place we went to and in some places, even two or three.
Chaophraya – Thai restaurant
Our first stop, and my favourite, was the Thai restaurant. I’ve never been to Chaophraya before but would like to come back. It’s a lovely and classy restaurant with some great interior design, including a wall fish tank. We sat down immediately making use of the wonderful penis straws. Water has never tasted so good??
I was the odd one out ordering a beer but it’s been ages since I enjoyed a Chang so I just had to. To go with it I obviously ordered Pad Thai to reminisce of old travel journeyed with my bf. This Pad Thai wasn’t as good as I remembered them but definitely kept me full for the rest of the night.
Bars and karaoke
We continued to a few bars and also ended up in a private hired karaoke booth. I’m not a massive fan so when this session was over I decided to head home. I’m sure the rest of the evening was As eventful, if not even more so.
I’m so happy that the bride to be had a great night, that’s what counts. Personally, hen parties like this aren’t my kind of scene. Ladies and gents, whoever will be planning mine (if it ever happens) please take note 😉
Have you been to hen parties? What style do you prefer?
