January Empties

I’ve never done a post about products I’ve used up. Unfortunately I’m not the kind of person that use something up completely before starting something new. I sound awful but there are some products that take ages to go through and I get bored of that certain scent or brand so I move on.Don’t get me wrong, I don’t throw away half empty bottles, I keep them and use multiple at the same time so it takes ages for me to finish them.

Boring things like deodorant and toothpaste, I use till there is absolutely no drop left or I can’t squeeze the tube any smaller, but how fun are those products to feature in a blog post? Anyhow, I’m proud to say that I have emptied three things this month so here they are, my January empties.

Empty hair and skincare products

Herbal Essences Dry Shampoo

I don’t use dry shampoo all the time, but on a regular basis so there’s a few of these bottles being emptied every year. When I first started to use dry shampoo I opted for Batiste but after being recommended Herbal Essences, I’ve never looked back.

I love this dry shampoo, it smells so nice and fresh (citrus fragrance), it doesn’t leave white dust patches like other dry shampoos and this particular bottle also gives a volume boost. If you haven’t tried it already, do and I promise you won’t buy anything other.

Balance Active Formula Vitamin C Power Serum

I was given this serum at an event last year, together with moisturiser from the same brand. I have used them daily since and absolutely love them. This serum contains active levels of Illumiscin and Stay-C 50. Don’t ask me what these ingredients are, but together they make sure my skin is brighter, smoother and more radiant and can’t anything but agree.

It’s enough to use 1-2 drops each morning and night to apply on face and neck. It’s really smooth and grease free, so lovely to apply. I can really recommend it, if you’re like me disliking a greasy finish after applying face creams.

Benefit Porefessional

I’ve written about this balm before, the magical make-up product that makes your face stay grease free all day, and covers any little pores you might have. I have used this regularly and although it’s only a small little bottle I’ve been able to make it last for a very long time. Sadly it’s now empty but I’ve got The Body Shop’s Instablur to use instead (it’s been said to have the same effect and so far I think that’s true, albeit a different consistency).

Porefessional

Maybe this will be a regular feature on the blog, depending on how many empties I’ll have to show for. Have you used any of these products? What are your thoughts? Have you emptied up any products this month?
