The best thing about Christmas is the build up to it. December is a wonderful month filled with lights, delicious foods, drinks and smiling people. Recently I’ve attended three Christmas events in Leeds which have all got me into the Holiday Spirit.
Winter Party with Results with Lucy
Charlotte and I attend most blogger events together and so this time too. She was kind enough to invite me as her plus one to Results with Lucy’s winter party at Epernay in Electric Press. The venue and theme gave us a great excuse to dress up a little bit extra and enjoy Brut all evening long. We were given a raffle ticket on entrance but 22 wasn’t my lucky number on the evening. We never got a chance to speak to Lucy before she had to swift off but we had a really nice evening catching up and celebrating the start of the weekend and get a taste of Christmas celebrations to come.
Hammy Christmas with Ham & Friends
You might have heard of Friends of Ham, maybe even visited and enjoyed their food and drinks. For December, they have set up a pop up shop in Grand Arcade, Leeds. It’s a gorgeous venue and Ham & Friends decorated it really festive for their Christmas events during December. You can go for film screenings and workshops like wreath making. I would recommend going for the raclette cheese and red wine. Here served on boiled potatoes with mini guerkins. If you like it enough, why not buy some cheese, wine or maybe ham to take home or give away as gifts for Christmas. I’m happy to see it’ll be a permanent shop and bar come spring.
Blog At The Beach with Icelolly
It was time for my second event with Icelolly, this time with a Christmas theme. You might remember their last event which gave insight on vlogging, staying safe online and how to grow your readership, this event too involved three speakers sharing their experience on Pinterest, SEO and growing followers on Instagram.
Lambert Yard was lovely Christmassy decorated and Icelolly had brought in some extra props for the photo booth. One of the activities in their 12 days of Christmas competition involved #sELFie and photo booth pictures. We had to complete 9 of 12 challenges to be in the draw to win a Go Pro Experience and a city break to Barcelona. I really enjoyed taking part in the tasks; they were a great conversation starters with fellow bloggers and Icelolly staff.
How have you been getting into tthe Christmas Spirit so far? Have you attended any Christmas related events?
