I’m so happy that another nailbox arrived in time for New Year’s Eve! As expected, full of glitter and sparkles. The colours are quite cold but together they make the perfect New Year’s Eve nails!
As usual the box, contained more than just nail polishes. This month, tweezers from Elegant Touch, to get the New Year’s Eve brows ready, and a white nail art pen from Sally Hansen. I have never tried nail art pens and not this time either, haha. I like the idea but I didn’t feel like this white pen would fit my New Year’s Eve nails. I’ll hopefully try it out another time and show you my creations.
Moving on to the highlight of the box, the actual nail polishes.
Rimmel London ‘Marshmellow Heaven’
This is only the third box I have received so far but without fail, there’s always a Rimmel London nail polish included. I don’t mind at all, they’re really good and perfect to use on my accent nails. Yes I’m boring, I always do my ring finger nails in a different colour/sparkly/glittery etc. I really like Marshmellow Heaven, it works well as a winter colour but could as easily be used on a romantic summer party nail design, or why not for Easter.
Morgan Taylor ‘Best Ball Gown Ever’
This is a brand and colour I’ve never seen before. I like that nailbox is always letting me discover new brands and colours. When I first picked this one out of the box I didn’t think much of it but combined with the other colours I was excited to try it. Applied on the nail, the colour changes depending on what light is shining on them. It shimmers of gold, blue, light green and even lavender so yeah I guess it is the Best Ball Gown Ever. For this design, I’ve used this colour as the main feature as New Year’s Eve to me is a sparkly event.
Nailsinc ‘Blossom – Bloomsbury Way’
In the bottle, this nail polish from NailsInc looks like it’s got tiny little sprinkles/hundreds of thousands, you know the topping you add to your ice cream. I loved it at first site and the name, blossom and bloom, made me smile. Cute nail polish which when applied comes out as small particles in different shapes and colours (baby blue, pink and silver) and together with Rimmel London’s purple colour it makes the perfect accent nail.
What do you think! How are your New Year’s Eve nails looking this year? Sparkly I hope! 😊
