    Hattie B’s in Nashville

It’s been a while since I wrote a food posts so today I thought I’d share my experience eating southern fried chicken at Hattie B’s in Nashville. Eating Southern American street food for lunch at work on Wednesday reminded me of the day went I decided to queue for apparently the best chicken in Nashville. Hottest restaurant in Nashville Hattie B’s doesn’t only serve the hottest chicken in the city, they’re one of the hottest restaurants to visit on a daily basis. Their guests are a mix of tourists, locals, over the day visitors and regulars coming here for lunch. I had heard that there sometimes is a queue to get…

    My Shopping Haul in Nashville

Wow, I’m finally being able to share what I got up to when I visited Nashville earlier this year. It feels like a lifetime ago already but it was only two months ago. To ease you in, and keep align with the Chicago posts, I’ll start with sharing what I bought when I was there. Durango Cowgirl Boots When leaving for my holiday, I didn’t see Nashville as a city for shopping and I still don’t. However, I did come back home with a pair of cowgirls boots, as I had said from the start I wanted. I also picked up a couple of other unexpected things. All the shops…

    Exploring Chinatown in Chicago

The last area of Chicago I explored was Chinatown. Every city has a Chinatown but I didn’t expect Chicagos to be so big. It’s a huge part of the city so I’m really glad I took the time to visit before heading to the airport. Luckily for me, Chinatown was only a train stop away from where my grinds live so it took less than 20 minutes to get there. I took an early train, before the shops had opened up so it was only me and tourist groups walking the streets. Chinatown Square I started with the main square which has a couple of big stone monuments and in…

Big Star wasn’t the only restaurant I went for food when I was in Chicago, they have plenty more restaurants to experience and I thought I’d share 5 of those with you in this post. These are the top five food places I think you shouldn’t miss when going to Chicago. Giordano’s in Downtown Chicago Chicago is known for their deep pan pizzas. I’m not really sure why but of course when visiting, this is a delicacy you can’t miss. Deep pan pizzas are served in many restaurants so not difficult to…

    Exploring Wicker Park in Chicago

If you didn’t know already, I quite like quirky areas in cities and especially the areas where you can find lots of vintage and independent stores. Most cities will have areas like this and I always look for them so I was happy to be able to spend a day exploring Wicker Park in Chicago. I got there really early in the morning, as I’m a morning person but also because I want to give myself enough time to go to the places I already have research but also find unexpected things to explore. Vintage Shopping Wicker Park isn’t very big, it’s focused around North Milwaukee Avenue, with a couple of surrounding…
