Getting a Taste of Inntravel’s Gastronomic Walks

I love walking! Still, it’s very rare that I do it. I don’t know what’s stopping me. Perhaps not having a car and taking the train to places is sometimes a hassle. The times I do go, I really enjoy it. After spending a day with Inntravel* I realise I should do it more often. Sure, we had the perfect sunny day for it which helps a lot but come to think about it, my previous longer walks (Ingleborough and Cadair Idris) have both been on nice days. Coincidence? Perhaps not. Inntravel is a slow holiday company, offering touring holidays for those looking to take their time experiencing the moment.…

    Pumpkin Hunting at Farmer Copleys

It’s nearly Halloween and pumpkins are a must! Sadly, even though I went pumpkin hunting over the weekend, I don’t have one on display. I’ve seen so many people going pumpkin hunting lately and really wanted to go myself. Luckily Michelle and Gina also wanted to go so over the weekend just gone, we headed to Farmer Copleys in Pontefract. The reason we didn’t buy any pumpkins in the end is because our wheelbarrow was stolen. Gina and I got the train to Wakefield Westgate from Leeds where Michelle picked us up in her cute Beetle and drove us to Farmer Copleys. The weather was so hot and nice Sunday…

A Luxurious Stay at Ox Pasture Hall Hotel

Aren’t bank holiday weekends just the best!? An extra day for us to relax and recharge our batteries. This bank holiday weekend gone, I had the pleasure to stay at Ox Pasture Hall*, a luxury Scarborough hotel, for one night and oh boy was it a relaxing stay. Scarborough What’s a bank holiday weekend without a visit to the seaside so of course that’s where I started mine. In just over an hour by train from Leeds I found myself on the beach of Scarborough. I’ve been before but this was the first time getting the train. It’s a really picturesque train journey, packed with like-minded people fancying fish &…

  • Climbing Cadair Idris

    My Experience Climbing Cadair Idris

You might remember that I climbed Ingleborough Mountain last year and if you follow me on social you will also have seen I climbed Cadair Idris not too long ago. Cadair Idris is Wales second highest mountain (Snowden being their highest) and it’s stunning! Compared to Ingleborough I preferred climbing this one as there’s less flat walking coming to and from the mountain. I also think the views here are far more gorgeous. The issue I did have is that it was a lot harder, both physically and mentally to climb up and down than Ingleborough. Physical Fitness Before climbing Ingleborough my body was a lot more fit. I regularly…

31 Thoughts Whilst Climbing Ingleborough Mountain

Last weekend, I went to Clapham with two friends and we climbed Ingleborough mountain. I’m very proud of us all that we made it and came back in one piece. It’s a fantastic walk, so beautiful and I’d love to do it all over again or maybe even the Yorkshire three peaks. We were really lucky with the weather, I don’t own any walking/hiking gear but managed well in my colourful trainers. Leaving Clapham around lunchtime and not being back until 8pm gave room for many thoughts during the walk. 1. After the first 5 minutes, “Are we there yet?” 2. I could NEVER do the three peaks in one…
