Things I’d Like to Achieve in 2019

I’m no different to any other blogger out there, of course I have a blog post listing things I’d like to achieve in 2019. I like to set goals because if I don’t, I get lost and perhaps won’t get around to completing anything. I love writing lists, being able to tick things off once done. There’e something so satisfactory seeing a tick next to big achievements like getting my UK citizenship last year or small tasks like washing the towels. For this year, I don’t want to set too many goals and run the risk of not being able to do all of them. My 2019 goals list is…

    My 35 Highlights of 2018

Where did this year go? We’ve only got a couple of hours left of 2018. As always the end of the year is extra special for me as it was my birthday yesterday. Turning 35 and the anxiety I had turning 30 came back but luckily not as strong. Like last time, as soon as the birthday was over, the anxiety disappeared but I still don’t like the number. THIRTY FIVE! It sounds and looks so old but there’s nothing I can do about it. I’m going to embrace it and to be honest, I like being in my 30s more than my 20s. To celebrate my 35 years I…

Crazy Golf and Cocktails at Junkyard Golf Club in Leeds

I love mini golf. I used to play it a lot when I was younger with my parents, with my dad in particular. Every summer we would go now and again to play at various outdoor mini golf courses. Crazy golf on the other hand is a fairly new thing for me but I enjoy that too. I couldn’t wait to check out Leeds’ latest addition – Junkyard Golf Club. Junkyard Golf Club have courses in London, Oxford, Manchester and now also Leeds, since a month or so. You find it in The Light, on the second floor, opposite the escalators that lead up to the cinema. It’s a very…

  • Bongo's Bingo Leeds

    Bongo’s Bingo + Oktoberfest = Fun Carnage!

Bongo’s Bingo*, a crazy event you have to experience at least once in your lifetime. Why play bingo in silence when you can on the highest volume? Like Bonkers Bingo, this isn’t for the prude or sedentary. For my first time going Bongo’s Bingo, normally hosted at Canal Mills in Leeds, relocated to the Oktoberfest tent for one night only and according to regulars, a good choice in doing so. I’ve experienced a great night out at South Bank Depot previously, at last year’s Oktoberfest. Both Oktoberfest and Bingo’s Bongo Leeds are crazy nights out so why not combine the two. With tickets sold out, there was a full house (see…

Eight Scandinavian TV Series You Have To Watch This Autumn

With the darkness comes the best TV series. At this time of year I love snuggling up on the sofa under a blanket and binge watch series like Killing Eve, Bodyguard and Cry. I think it might be the best thing about autumn, all the good TV. If drama series like these are your forte and you don’t mind female leads or subtitles, I can really recommend to watch the following Scandinavian TV series. Scandinavians have a deep love for dark dramas which all these promise. Almost all of them have been shown on UK television so shouldn’t be too difficult to get hold of. The Bridge (Bron/Broen) I don’t…
