Where I am at with my Goals for 2019

We’re well into half of this year. Where has 2019 gone? I usually ask myself this question around this time of year. Summer tends to be a busier time of year for happenings and when weekends ahead are filled up with plans, it’s easy to think ahead of time and feeling like the year is soon coming to an end. But no!, we’ve still got plenty of time left. There is no need to panic if goals set at the beginning of the year aren’t met yet, or haven’t even begun to take place. Let’s take a look and see where I am at with my goals for 2019. Goals…

  • Jannuary to March Book Reads

Books I Read in January to March

One of my goals this year is to read one book a month. I’m happy to say that so far, I’m on track. The three books I’ve read so far this year are a mix between science fiction, biography and fiction based on a true story. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed reading all of them so thought I’d share in case you’d be interested in giving them a read yourself. Here are my January to March book reads. The Tattooist of Auschwitz – Heather Morris Last year I saw so many people who I follow on social media shout about this book. I’m a sucker for marketing so this book had me…

    Mother’s Day Gift Ideas

Mother’s Day is only one week away. How will you be celebrating? My mum (as you probably know) is Swedish so she’ll have to wait till the end of May before I celebrate her. It’s interesting that Mother’s Day doesn’t fall on the same day worldwide. The reason why it falls on the last Sunday in May in Sweden is because of the selection of flowers. Around that time of year, many different flowers are available. I guess that’s why it’s in March in England? Flowers are definitely the most common gift to give on Mother’s Day, I reckon anyways. I’ve put together a short list of luxury Mother’s Day…

  • Love Lagree Leeds

Love Lagree, a New Fitness Gym in Leeds

Leeds is starting to become a bit of a fitness mecca with new gyms and fitness classes being introduced. As a fitness enthusiast I don’t mind one bit. The latest and hottest trend coming from across the pond, also in London, is Lagree. Lagree is a high intensity, low impact training method which many celebrities say has transformed their bodies. So if you’re not into classes filled with jumping exercises and prefer working with your own body over heavy weights, this is the perfect training method for you. I love trying new things so when owners and instructors Lorraine Jenkins and Craig Noble invited me down to their Love Lagree* studio…

  • Strike a Bowling Pose

Strike a Bowling Pose at Tenpin in Leeds

“Let’s bowl, let’s bowl, let’s rock n’ roll. Hey, come on, let’s get the show on the road.” These are the first lines of ‘Score Tonight’ from Grease 2 (the best of the two films I should add) when they’re out bowling. I always get this song stuck in my head when bowling is mentioned. When I go bowling myself, I wish everyone would start dancing like they do in the film but it never happens. Alas, a fun pose for the camera will do. I’ve always loved bowling. Perhaps because my dad competed in his younger days and showed me some techniques. Only how to walk and where to aim…
