    Books I Read This Summer

One thing I seem to do more of over the summer months is reading. It’s odd, I feel like on paper darker months should give more opportunities to read whilst curled up on the sofa. Perhaps it’s because we have more daylight hours during summer so I have time to also read. I also tend to go on a summer break during June to August and then I definitely have more time to read. I included the following books to my summer reading list. The Hate U Give – Angie Thomas I actually read this book in January but forgot to include it in my previous book read round-up. It’s…

My First Spa Experience | Redworth Hall Hotel

I’ve finally been to a spa. Can you believe I was in my mid-thirties going to a spa for the first time? Have I been missing out – definitely, will I go back – you bet! When my mum booked tickets to come see me earlier this summer, we decided to take a mini spa weekend away. Researching spa deals in and fairly close to Leeds, I came across Redworth Hall Spa. Just outside of Darlington, a luxurious spa facility part of Redoworth Hall Hotel. Via Spabreaks.com we got a great deal: two going for the price of one. Included in the £158 package we got a one night stay…

We’re well into half of this year. Where has 2019 gone? I usually ask myself this question around this time of year. Summer tends to be a busier time of year for happenings and when weekends ahead are filled up with plans, it’s easy to think ahead of time and feeling like the year is soon coming to an end. But no!, we’ve still got plenty of time left. There is no need to panic if goals set at the beginning of the year aren’t met yet, or haven’t even begun to take place. Let’s take a look and see where I am at with my goals for 2019. Goals…

Books I Read in January to March

One of my goals this year is to read one book a month. I’m happy to say that so far, I’m on track. The three books I’ve read so far this year are a mix between science fiction, biography and fiction based on a true story. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed reading all of them so thought I’d share in case you’d be interested in giving them a read yourself. Here are my January to March book reads. The Tattooist of Auschwitz – Heather Morris Last year I saw so many people who I follow on social media shout about this book. I’m a sucker for marketing so this book had me…

    Mother’s Day Gift Ideas

Mother’s Day is only one week away. How will you be celebrating? My mum (as you probably know) is Swedish so she’ll have to wait till the end of May before I celebrate her. It’s interesting that Mother’s Day doesn’t fall on the same day worldwide. The reason why it falls on the last Sunday in May in Sweden is because of the selection of flowers. Around that time of year, many different flowers are available. I guess that’s why it’s in March in England? Flowers are definitely the most common gift to give on Mother’s Day, I reckon anyways. I’ve put together a short list of luxury Mother’s Day…
