Oil is a really good beauty product but I’ve never had a habit of using different ones often until now. I have one oil for my cuticles, one for my hair and one for my face and I use all of them on a daily basis. Since I’m such a fan I thought I would share my favourite beauty oils with you, so without further ado, here they are.
Caudalie Divine Oil
I’ve had this oil over a year, nearly two, now and still you can hardly tell I’ve used it. I received this sample bottle (15ml) during my Birchbox subscription. A 50ml bottle cost £17.50 online at Caudalie and it’s great value for money as it will last you a long time.
The oil is meant to be used on body, face and hair but I only use it on my cuticles and the skin around my nails. It makes a massive difference so I’m really happy with it.
I tried to use it on my hair as well but I found it too greasy which didn’t give the hair a nice look. I’ve never tried it on my face but I could see it being really good as a massage oil. It smells lovely, sweet and nutty, and it’s got the perfect texture: not too thick, nor runny.
Schwarzkopf got2b Styling Oil
Instead of using the Caudalie oil on my hair I invested in this oil, which says it’s got a non greasy formula and I believe it. It’s much much better for my hair leaving it all nice and shiny, not greasy.
The texture is fairly thick. It’s enough with one drop to warm up in the hands before applying to hair ends and smooth frizzy hair. I use it every time I have blow dried and straightened my hair – which is often!! I really like the smell too, so fresh and it reminds me of holiday.
I imagine that you can pick up this 50ml bottle in most shops selling hair products. I got mine from Boots where it’s currently on offer for £4.19
The Body Shop Oils of Life
I haven’t owned this oil for a very long time so not had a chance to get used to it properly but from what I’ve seen and noticed so far I really like it. The smell is quite strong, reminds me of Elizabeth Arden’s hand creams if you’re familiar with those.
You don’t need many drops in order for this oil to be massaged into your facial skin. I give it quite a while to dry before applying any other products. The last thing I need is shiny skin during the day. This is oil is great for keeping my skin smooth and dry free.
You’ll find this oil (30ml) at The Body Shop for £28 but if you buy now during their Black Friday offers you get 40% discount.
