Autumnal Styling with LOTD

It’s October and out comes all the knitted jumpers. Previously I’ve not owned that many but in the last couple of years, I’ve picked up one or two. The latest to my collection is this rose pink off the shoulder jumper from LOTD (Look Of The Day). I wore this outfit to the #BloggersBlogAwards this weekend gone and the top got a lot of nice compliments and I’m overwhelmed with all the lovely comments on Instagram. Thank you and extra thanks to Victoria for taking these pictures.

It seems I’ve taken a liking in pink clothes this year investing in a rain mac, adding to my nightwear stack and now this jumper. This old pink nuance especially goes well with my skin tone and brings out the blue in my eyes. It’s a good transitional colour as it works all year round and because the jumper has an off shoulder cut I don’t feel limited to wear this only in autumn. It’s funny, I’ve some how managed not to wear a single off the shoulder top all summer but now we’re moving towards colder temperatures, I invest in one.

Another thing I really like about this jumper is the long sleeves. Long sleeves are a must in autumn and winter time. I suffer from Raynaud’s disease which means I need to keep my hands and fingers warm all the time for them not to go white and numb. Long sleeves help with this so I don’t have to wear gloves indoors.

I’ve kept the rest of this autumn outfit very simple with black jeans and black ankle boots. Black is my go to colour and especially with a colourful top or jumper to make it stand out more.

I’ve been in need of new black jeans for a while so these have come in handy. They have a nice slim fit and high waist. I needed a size XL as LOTD’s jeans sizes are quite small Because of this, the legs are quite long as well but I always roll mine up so for me it’s not an issue. I like the subtle pattern detail on the back pockets and I feel like they also make my butt look smaller which is always a plus.

The ankle boots are super pretty with the gold detail at the back of the heel and very comfortable to wear. First time I wore them, I had them on a whole day without any issues. I can’t wait to use them more so they soon get a more worn and torn look. They’re a bit too shiny for my liking at the minute. I can’t believe I’ve managed previous autumns without Chelsea boots but finally that’s changed.

Have you invested in any autumn jumpers yet this year? What colours do you normally go for?

LOVE this outfit, Jennie! The blush pink suits your complexion perfectly!
I too need some new black jeans in my wardrobe. They are a great staple to have though.

Thanks Caroline 🙂 I really like this colour so no doubt I’ll pick up more clothes like this when I see it. Yes, black jeans are the best, so many variations of them! X
